Dress Standards

All grooming and apparel should be neat, clean and modest. Smart casual attire is encouraged for the Conference in line with the standards outlines in the For the Strength of Youth

Code of Conduct

We desire all who attend the Conference to have a wonderful and uplifting experience. To achieve this, we have published this Code of Conduct so that appropriate behaviour and standards are maintained throughout the convention. All YSA, Mentors, Priesthood Leaders and committee members attending convention are to abide by the standards described in this document and our time together will be a representation of adults that have learned to live and exemplify correct principles, to govern themselves and take responsibility for their feelings, thoughts, actions and decisions.

Behaviour

We recognise and celebrate the cultural diversity of all attending the conference. The following policies have been put in place with respect to behaviour:

  • All YSA are to follow the direction of Priesthood and conference leaders at all times
  • Respect must be shown to other attendees and presenters
  • Absolutely no alcohol, smoking or non-prescription drugs on the premises at any time. Anyone affected by these substances may be excluded from any further participation
  • Any form of violence, threat of violence or bullying to a person or their property will not be tolerated
  • Sexual harassment and any unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated. Actions, words, jokes or comments that are derogatory and based on any person's gender, race, ethnicity, age, religion or disability will not be tolerated
  • Any person identified with gangs will be excluded. This includes the wearing or showing of any gang identity items. All persons are to be treated with respect, and dignity
  • Swearing and coarse language offends the speaker, the hearer and the spirit and is unacceptable on any occasion
  • Appropriate use of technology must be managed during convention, including taking and sharing photos. Ensure that your phone is turned off for during keynote addresses and workshops.
